As we commemorated the 75th anniversary of D-Day, we also celebrated Tracy Underhill returning to TNT as our newest member. Tracy was a member of TNT years ago so she is no stranger to the club, but she’s new to most of us. Please help her feel welcome and give her a warm greeting when you see her at an upcoming meeting. Of course she hit the ground running and served as Toastmaster of the Day on the same day this week she was voted into the club! Way to go, Tracy… and welcome home!

Hi TNT members,

Congratulations to Karen Resco, Mary Thomas, and Laurence Schilthuis, our first, second, and third place winners respectively. Karen will represent our club at the Area Contest on Saturday, February 16th. Mark your calendars to come out and cheer her on! We’ll let you know the time soon.

Many thanks and huge accolades to Adam Graziano for leading our Evaluation Contest. Your service to our club was over-the-top, Adam, and you challenged yourself as much as the contestants did in both chairing the contest and being its host. Ron Amberg also contributed greatly as Chief Judge. Accolades to both of you!

Remember that our next contest is January 31st, the International Speech Contest. There are still contestant spots available – take the challenge! This will propel your speaking in amazing ways, just as entering a 5k or 10k race changes you from a jogger to a runner. The contest is open to all our members in good standing who have completed six speech projects in the Competent Communication manual or a minimum of two levels in the Toastmasters Pathways learning experience.

If you are newer to the club and not eligible, you are still a vital participant as audience and judge…plus you will gain valuable vicarious experience!!

Once again, it’s been another exciting week being a part of TNT.
