TNT Hosts Great International Contest

TNT’s Meeting Express*.     Weekly Meeting Recap for 3/2/17

TNT’s International Speech Contest was great, beginning to end.

And the Speakers Were … (in speaking order):

* First Place Finisher: Julie Davis, The Child Inside. Julie spoke of her dream of being a writer. Although her creativity was never encouraged, her kids found a way to reach her Inner Child. Now she’s chasing her dream of becoming a writer.

* Second Place Finisher: Charlene Sims, Lessons Learned. Charlene described the trepidation she felt facing her role as a featured speaker. Laughter and letting go taught her that some of the scariest situations can be the most rewarding when you jump in with both feet.

* Bruce Arfsten, The Next 30 Years. Tim McGraw’s hit song was the inspiration for Bruce’s speech about facing the next stage of his life. For him, 55 is the new 40. He’s ready to kick his life up a notch.

* Dwight Owsen, Deep Change from Sad Events. Three tragic events changed his life. He learned not to compare himself to others, finding your calling is a series of small steps, and you forget your struggles when you bring comfort to others.
